Who we are

Bequest Ltd is a technology platform operated in Hong Kong. We produce will documents from solicitor-reviewed templates. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Use of this platform does not create a solicitor-client relationship.

02

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bequest to make a will, in line with section 4 of the Wills Ordinance (Cap. 30). You must provide accurate information about yourself, your assets, and the people you name in your will.

03

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password or recovery codes. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

We never store, prompt for, or display private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords.

04

Fees and payment

Pricing for each tier is shown on the Pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment provider. You authorise the charge at checkout. Refunds are at our discretion and only where the law requires.

05

Will validity

A will produced through Bequest is valid only when signed and witnessed in accordance with section 5 of the Wills Ordinance (Cap. 30). The platform produces the document; signing and witnessing must be completed by you, in person, with two competent witnesses who are not beneficiaries.

You confirm you have read and understood the Section 47 disclaimer shown on every will-related screen.

06

Acceptable use

Do not use Bequest to commit fraud, forge documents, impersonate another person, or violate any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

07

Intellectual property

The platform, including text, design, code, and templates, is owned by Bequest Ltd. You retain ownership of the content you provide. By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to process your content to provide the service.

08

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We do not exclude liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

09

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and the "last updated" date will change.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
