Ownership

What you keep.

Draft free. Change as often as you like.

Drafting is free and unlimited. Change the guardian you name, and anything else, as many times as you want before you pay. Payment fixes your draft on the platform. Anything you want to change after that, you raise with your solicitor at your signing appointment.

Your deed, yours to keep

After signing, the wet ink original is yours. No one else holds it. A copy of your draft stays in your account to download any time, and the signed original is the document that counts.

Why it matters

If you do not name someone, your family is left to work it out.

When no guardian is named, the choice of who raises your children can fall to a court. It may take time, and it may not be the person you would have chosen.

Without a deed

No named guardian on record, and your family carries the question at the worst possible time.

With a deed

The person you trust is named by you, on the record, in the form the court expects.

No. The deed remains in effect unless you revoke or replace it. You can revisit your choice whenever your family changes.
A Will covers your estate, meaning your money and property. A Deed of Guardianship covers who raises your children. The two work together, and many families set up both.
